Skinners Muddspinners is a team pottery which consist of husband and wife, Shane and Gina Skinner. Shane grew up in Tylertown MS and Gina, in Lucedale MS. Shane graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors in Ceramics and a Masters in Art Education. Shane is the art teacher at George County Middle School while Gina is a stay at home mother. Gina is also manager of the pottery. She is the driving force behind Skinners Muddspinners pottery.
The Skinners have had their pottery exhibited in many galleries throughout south Mississippi. They also have pieces in private galleries in Denmark and Japan. Many of the pieces are sold through private sells or special orders.
